Mr. Md. Jahirul Islam

Mr. Md. Jahirul Islam joined Bangladesh Hajj Office, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as Counselor (Hajj) on 
21 January 2021 AD. Before joining this office, he was working as the Director of Anti-Corruption Commission.

He is a 22nd batch officer of BCS administration cadre. He started his career in 2003 as 
Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Sylhet. 
Then served as 1st Class Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Senior Assistant Commissioner,
City Corporation Magistrate, Upazila Executive Officer, Deputy Director (Local Government).
He received his Master's degree in Political Science from Jagannath University.

Mr. Md. Jahirul Islam was born in 1975 in Mirzaganj upazila of Patuakhali district in a noble Muslim family. 
His father late Md Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan was a head teacher and mother Ambia Khatun a homemaker.

In personal life he is married and father of two sons. His wife is a housewife.
